Wordpress 2.2 to probably require Mysql 4.1
Thursday, November 30th, 2006I’ve been watching a rather interesting thread on the wp-hackers mailing list, the list where Wordpress core devs and 3rd party devs hash out architectural issues. It seems that there may be an announcement after Wordpress 2.1 comes out that Mysql 4.1 will be required for Wordpress 2.2.
This totally makes sense, considering that Mysql 4.0 and below are no longer supported, and 4.1 offers useful features like subqueries.
