Saturday, September 23rd, 2006Not sure about you other Wordpress bloggers, but my Akismet plugin (ships with Wordpress) catches 99% of the spam that I get, which is ~70/day. I like how it also whitelists people who have already been approved for comments. I guess somebody could post a legit comment and then post a bunch of spam. Shhhhhhh.

It’s great. I do not know daily counts - but, it has trapped 1,353 in five months. I think there is a math equation in there somewhere. I have retrieved ONE good comment and probably have had half a dozen spam comments that it missed.
