BSQ Sitestats 2.2.0 Alpha is available

Sunday, September 10th, 2006

Another release of BSQ Sitestats is in the works. Please try out all of the new features and report back at our forums.

New:
+Added ability to pad total stats.
+Added more safety to the BSQ Sitestats includes.
+Added the ability to only track user hits. This is useful if you only care about registered users’ hits.
+Added the ability to ignore hits from Search Engines
+Domains are now printed as links instead of just text when shown as a tabular. (artf5313)
+Added the ability to save page titles for both Joomla and external URLs (wordpress, g2..etc). These are shown on the latest visitors, latest user visits, resource frequency, and recent referers report.
+Added the ability to reset stats.
+Added a banned referrer words parameter which allows you to combat spam by not allowing certain words to exist in referrer URLs.
+Added a stat scrubber to BSQ Sitestats which allows you to clear out ignored IPs and banned referrers from the BSQ Sitestats database.
+Added an [X] link to every IP address link in the Back End, which lets you delete all of the hits for an IP address with one click.
+Added stats filtering for banned referrers.

Fixed:
*Fixed a bug where we would try to convert the bsq_searchterms table if it had already been converted.

    Hi Brent,
    Installed the alpha!

this is what we call: A Great Achievement!!!

    thanks.

  2. Brent Says:

Great. I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback. So far, things are really quiet, which either means people are satisfied or people haven’t installed it yet. I know the latter isn’t true, as I can see the downloads ;)

  3. Icegod Says:

I installed the Alpha as well and played around with it a bit.
    It’s great and very usefull.
The graphing/reporting (mainly on the backend) could use a little more features though(choose a scale for you graph axis, choose to only show a specific period (last X days)).

    But again very nice work.

  4. Brent Says:

Could you stop by our JoomlaLib forum and talk with us about Graphing. I know Michiel (gallery2/joomlalib) is always trying to make the graphing better.

  5. Icegod Says:

I did swing by the forums but the registering email is taking forever to arrive.
I will put my finding and suggestions on the graphing in there once I get the email.

  6. Brent Says:

The email is probably lost in the bit bucket by now. Send me your username, and I’ll have Michiel activate you :)

  7. Icegod Says:

    My username is icegod.

I need to download your most excellent product, but finding it is proving difficult because all the links point to the old forge.
