Signs that I’m old and married
Tuesday, July 4th, 2006I had a dream this morning that where I was putting away the groceries that Bethany and I had purchased last night (in real life), and I was pondering if I had put away the perishables or not. Wow…dreams about groceries. So much for dreams about beautiful women and sandy beaches. Next, I’ll be dreaming about if the nurse at the nursing home is stealing my dentures.
Happy 4th of July to all of you who celebrate it. I hope fireworks are legal in your state because my state is totally lame about them. That’s ok though: there’s always Wisconsin or South Dakota ;). The 4th of July is my absolute favorite holiday because:
- Get to see family and friends without wondering if you bought them the right gift (ala Christmas)
- It’s warm out. Easter and thanksgiving are usually cold around here.
- FIREWORKS!
So go out and celebrate your country by blowing up a tiny piece of it with a black cat or having a roman candle fight with your neighbor. Have fun and be safe. (yes, safe doesn’t go along with a roman candle fight. oh well)

Funny! I’ll be 45 this summer - you are getting no sympathy from me. I take my daughter to college visits and guys come to my house to take her places with their own cars — and there are no parents driving. Plus, my son will be 16 soon and he thinks girls are great! So, quit your whining! lol… BTW - May Day is my favorite holiday. But, it seems to be dying off, too!
