Gallery2 Multisite and WPG2
Monday, June 26th, 2006So, I mentioned to Michiel today that I was planning on doing another Gallery2 installation for Bethany since the WPG2 (Wordpress G2 integration). He brought it to attention that you can run an infinite amount of installations off of one code base. ORLY?
Gallery2’s multisite feature is amazing, and you can even add multi-galleries to existing installations. All you have to do is launch the generic installer, select multi-gallery, and follow the AJAX-powered on-screen instructions. Wow…just wow.
The extra installation is tiny too: 6 extra PHP files + an extra database (empty until you populate it) + an extra data folder.
If you’re using WPG2, just make sure to install the database using the same database parameters as in your wp-config.php in your Wordpress folder.
