Hang in there
Thursday, February 9th, 2006Have any of you ever seen that crappy Hang in There cat poster? If you haven’t, do a GIS (Google image search) for it. That’s kind of how I’m feeling about soccer right now. We lost every game last session except for the one we tied, and we lost our opener tonight. Now, I’m all about keeping positive. It can just be very disheartening to lose time and time again. If it were blow-outs, I’d simply not go or suggest we join a league of the same skill level as us.
This league is very well-matched to our playing abilities, which is very apparent by the fact that most of our losses are 1 or 2 point deficits. We hardly ever get blown out.
Take tonight as an example: we were leading 2-1 going into the last 10 minutes of the game. I even got a sweet goal on a feed from Shaun, but things just broke down after that, and we got beat. Man, I’d love to get a W on our chart. I hate being that team.
I think we should change our team name to TBD instead of our company name. That way, we can get some free wins because people won’t show up. He he. If theres anything I hate more than losing, it’s not playing. Stupid type-A personality. In fact, according to this internet, and therefore 100% accurate, test, I’m for sure a type A:
You are hyper, energetic, and always on the mood
You tend to succeed at everything you attempt
And if you don’t succeed at first, you quickly climb your way to the top!
You could be called a workaholic, but you also make time for fun
As long as it’s high energy and competitive, you’re interested
You have the perfect personality for business and atheltic success
Athletic success? I wish! :)
