BSQ Sitestats 1.8.0 has been Released

Wednesday, February 1st, 2006

Version 1.8.0, which has been in development for over a month, is finally done.

New features:
- Password-protected RSS Feeds for latest referrers, latest visitors
- Persistent component preferences
- IP address and referrer ignoring to stop spammers.
- Phone Home feature to check for new versions and share stats (like g2bride does)
- Joomla URLs displayed in SEF form
- Menu Protection to deal with Itemid spoofing
Fixed: Blank periods on site stats summary for positive date offsets.
Fixed: Joomla 1.0.7 Compatible. loadRowList was changed, which broke BSQ Sitestat’s Language Frequency report.

LANGUAGES: English, Dutch, German
If you are using Russian or Norwegian, please wait until 1.8.1. I will re-release once I receive the language files from the translation team.

This component now uses the BSQ Conf project to manage its preferences, which makes adding tabbed configuration parameters as easy as adding one line of code. Download the source code to use for your own components here:

BSQ kicks ass in many ways but lacks some basic documentation…
    For example:
How to change language on front end??
How to change appearence of graphs on front end??

Note: Not all are php guru’s at birth…

  4. brent Says:

Front end language is the same as your site’s language. I can’t tell you more than that as I always use English.

See the ‘Graphing’ tab of the configuration pages for graphing options.

Not all php gurus are documentarians. If you’d like to submit any documentation about what you learned while using BSQ Sitestats, I’d certainly consider posting it on this site.
