Joomla SEF has betrayed me :(

I’ve given up on Joomla’s SEF (Search Engine Friendly URLs) until they get their act together. I’ve been taking way too much of a PageRank hit because of them. I know this is stated over and over on the Joomla forums, but it has much more of an effect when it happens to you.
Every page on my site had a decent PageRank except Home, which is the most important page that everyone links to. Reason it had a crappy pagerank?
- Duplicate good URLs
- 404 URLs pointed at it too
*sigh*. SEF is off for now, which means my PageRank will have to start over. I sure hope Joomla 1.1 has a better answer.
