Relaxing Weekend
Monday, October 24th, 2005
This weekend was exceptionally relaxing. I went out with the coworkers and their wives for a couples’ dinner on Thursday night at Pepitos. Pepitos is the best Mexican Restaurant in Minneapolis. I love family owned and operated businesses. The food always tastes way better.
Friday was equally relaxing. Joseph, Chris, and Andy came over, and we watched The Wizard of Oz to the tune of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. It’s creepy how much they sync up, and it actually makes a better soundtrack to the music than what Dorothy sings. Unfortunately, my laptop had a heart attack about five minutes from the end of the CD, so we didn’t get to hear the last song. Oh well. You’re supposed to play the CD 2.5 times and catch things the second time, but I had Pink Floyd’s Wish you were Here album queued up to be next. That’s the better of the two CDs anyway.
After the other guys went home, Andy and I played Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat until early into the morning. I’ve got Battlefield 2, but I think the DC mod for BF1942 is way better. Call me old school, but whatever. We played Battlefield for most of the day Saturday too, besides a 2-hour break to watch the overrated Ring 2. I thought I wasn’t going to get any code written at all, which was fine with me.
Today was fun as well. Bethany and I went to the more contemporary service at church and then relaxed for most of the day. She worked on her scrap booking, and I worked on bsq_sitestats. I figured I was about 2 hours away from a release, so I just bit the bullet and worked on it. I got the release out just before midnight. I swear, this Open Source stuff is going to kill my sleeping habits (if the lan parties don’t first
)
Goodnight, and go check out bsq_sitestats 1.3.0.
