So, my concerns about our soccer team and the long shifts vs short shifts strategies were annulled on Tuesday. We had enough guys and girls for three full lines for indoor. Indoor is 6 players: 1 goalie, 3 guys, and 2 girls.

With our three lines, we did 3-minute shifts where we would sprint as hard as we could and would come off as soon as we were winded. The result: we were always sprinting, and we won 9-2. Granted, this was the red-headed stepchild team of the league, but we still showed a vast improvement over previous weeks.

Normally, I just play offense on a line with Shaun, but I’ve decided to play the same position as him on a different line, following his strategic example. So far, the results have been very good. I’ve got a shot that the goalie doesn’t have a chance on within 20 yards, so playing the middle of the field is fine. Plus, I like the bouncing rebounds and one-timers. I GOT A HAT TRICK LAST GAME!
