Back in Business
Tuesday, September 6th, 2005After a week off, DTN soccer is back on the horse. We won 4-0 tonight,
and the best part was that the goals came from people who usually don’t
score. Those are the best goals!! The team we played tonight had some
serious individual talent, but they lacked passing, and would just try
to brute force the ball up the middle of the field. We, in turn, would
leave 4 (out of 7) on defense and attack with only 3 with one person
(weak mid) hanging back for the next time they would try to push the
ball up the middle.
Meanwhile, we’d take the ball away and push it up the sides to be
centered. It’s a great strategy because it involves us running half as
much as them chasing us and always having to be square to us.
Our schedule has been pretty cake. We’ll see how the next few games go. Should be interesting!
