Emmanuel Tabernacle Church in Minneapolis
Sunday, April 8th, 2001Yeah, I had a realization yesterday. I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a church service at Emmanuel Tabernacle in Seward neighborhood (just south of Augsburg), and I must say that before I got there, I was a little skeptical as to whether or not they would welcome me or not, being the white suburban boy that I am. Anyway, it was to the contrary. Everybody came up to me and greeted me, shaking my hand and welcoming me to worship with them. It was really cool! Anyway, the service was about 2 hours long, and their choir put Augsburg’s gospel praise group to shame (yes… I am part of the shame.. shaddup!)
